9/9/2012: Bears T-Shirt
In my hierarchy of T-Shirts, my Bears T-Shirt is pretty much at the top. It's comfortable. I like the lettering. And most importantly, since the official NFL clothing tends to run big, I can wear a medium and have it actually fit.

7/6/2012: Bears Cap
The story goes that a friend of mine (and fellow Bears fan) found this Bears cap lying in the street. Some of you may be thinking "Ewwwwww dirty street hat" but I was thinking "Free hat!" Especially since it had been hard to find a Bears cap that fit my oversized head AND didn't look brand new. In the cap world it's the same as new white sneakers... they need to be scuffed up and worn in to look right. And don't worry I ran it through the dishwasher before wearing it to avoid getting scalp ebola (or whatever else may have been growing on the cap).

2/2/2012: Chicago Bears Hardhat
Of course I didn't know it at the time, but this Chicago Bears hard hat my cousin got me as a birthday gift could be seen as foreshadowing for the shambles the Bears' season collapsed into after Cutler's season-ending thumb injury. This hat was a jinx. So really... it's all Dan's fault. Thanks a lot Dan. My only consolation is how much more Tampa sucked this year than the Bears.

1/25/2012: Bears Hat
I can remember a time, long long ago, when I refused to wear a hat because I didn't want to mess up my hair. This was around the time I took the 45 of Sunglasses At Night along to get my haircut so that I could have it look like Cory Hart's. So like I said, long long ago. But now my hair is thinned and what I have left is gray, so messing it up by wearing my Bears hat isn't quite a concern. I'm more worried about cold ears.
